Learn German podcast PG24 - Codswallop!
"Verarschen", "veräppeln" and "vergackeiern" are just a few of the many popular German slang words in todays learn German podcast. I for one know that our Pukka German fans are way too smart to get taken for a ride and won't sit back and let the Germans take the piss or give them the runaround. Afterall you guys and gals weren't born yesterday were you?

PG24 Transcript – Verarschen kann ich mich selber!
Tyler: He Lisa, did you know that Simon and Anna won a fortune in the Lotto last year and are now rolling in dough?
Tyler: Yeah I know you’re not blind and I hear what you’re saying but I’m honestly not taking you for a ride. I was also sceptical at first but I think you’d be surprised just how many rich folks there are who are not interested in keeping up with appearances. Didn’t you hear that the two of them bought themselves a country villa in France last month. It’s apparently on a beautiful piece of land in a famous wine region.
Lisa: Ach was, so ein Schmarren. Du willst mich wohl wirklich auf den Arm nehmen, was? Ich fresse einen Besen wenn das stimmt.
Tyler: Believe me, I’m not pulling your leg and I might insist that you do eat a broom – or at least your hat. The two of them told me that they didn’t want folks treating them differently so they kept the whole thing to themselves. But I’m telling you, it’s the real deal, they’re loaded now and are going to live out their dream in France. Well, as soon as Simon has finished his apprenticeship and Anna has her studies behind her.
Tyler: Baby, if you think I’m stringing you along and taking the piss… well I guess you’re right! Wow, I’m impressed so you’re not so gullible after all – not just a pretty face hey!
Lisa: Oh Mann Tyler, so langsam kannst du mich echt mal kreuzweise. So langsam nervst du mich!
Tyler: Upsy-daisy, I think Lisa is a bit upset now. Well I do have to admit I do like to take the Mickey sometimes. I think it’s because I love it when she talks dirty to me, tells me to kiss her where the sun don’t shine and anyway I know she’ll get over it and forgive me.
